The wonderful wildlife habitat at Gorfanc provides a close-to-nature camping environment. Campfires are almost compulsory! There are several well-spaced places, with their own fire pits, suitable for pitching a tent – tucked away beside a stream, or in a more open spot with a wider view. Being away from cars and houses it’s the ultimate in peaceful camping.
It is usually necessary to carry your camping equipment from your vehicle, (for around 100 yds depending on the pitch you choose). We can provide a wheelbarrow.
For campfires wood is available to buy, or bring your own.
Collect water at the house, where there is also the W.C. and shower. Use of a washing machine is by arrangement.
Campers can buy organically-grown produce from the garden, honey, free-range eggs, home-made jam, and organic wholemeal bread.
If you are coming on public transport or by bicycle we may be able to get supplies in advance of your arrival, and to meet you at the station.
If you would like to camp please check with us in advance.
For costs please see the Booking and tariffs page.
Camping and Hideaway
A larger family or group of friends can divide themselves between tents and Hideaway. The tent-dwellers can then benefit from the facilities in the Hideaway – and those indoors can join the campers round the campfire!
