The Gorfanc Bees

At Gorfanc, as in the rest of the U.K., the ‘summer’ of 2012 has been a difficult one for honeybees.

Despite an abundance of flowers, at times continuous rain has kept the bees at home and some stocks needed a feed of sugar even in June.

However, more recent sunny days really had the nectar flowing from willowherb, clover, blackberry and other flowers from the fields and hedgerows around Gorfanc:-   happy bees!

More news soon about the harvest that we hope is in store!
